Ankur Gupta, M.D., M.S.
Dr. Gupta went to medical school at UT Southwestern in his hometown of Dallas, TX, and completed his residency at the University of Chicago and the Geisinger Eye Institute, a subsidiary of Kaiser Permanente. He completed fellowship training in Retina and Uveitis at Stanford University, where he also received a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree.
After additional fellowship training at the National Eye Institute (NIH), Dr. Gupta founded Spect Inc. to improve access to eye care using telemedicine and artificial intelligence. With multiple patents in ophthalmic imaging and over 75 co-authored projects, he is an active educator and clinical trial investigator, offering cutting-edge treatments for ischemic, inflammatory, and inherited retinal conditions.
